Autumn is upon us and as the new season trends start to appear on celebrities, there's one that's hard to miss. Neon. It appears that the fashion industry has bored of more traditional warm hues and opted for a more daring palette. For once our Autumnal wardrobes might look a little happier. Although, neon is not for everyone. These bold, synthetic colours are understandably hard to wear but also not brilliant for the environment. Definitely not something you can achieve with a natural dye. Therefore, I've sourced some ethical alternatives so you can keep your wardrobe fresh and your conscience clean.

Taking inspiration from Blake Lively's neon green look, I chose this co-ord from Paloma Wool. No, it is not neon, but this yellow silk is going to glisten at golden hour and will be able to call your wardrobe home through many seasons to come. It still has some punch and a classy silhouette but you can rest in peace as the brand practices good working conditions and local production.

Next up is Kim K's tiny neon pink dress she wore to Kylie's 21st. As bold as it is I feel a party dress like this could be worn time and time again. For a more ethical alternative, buying vintage is the way to go. With thousands of neon pieces lying around from the 80s there's a lot to choose from and you're also going to be saving pennies. Take your time to browse sites like Depop, Beyond Retro and Vintaholic. I chose this insane power dress from Volga Volga on ASOS Marketplace as my comparison piece.

Bella Hadid looked the epitome of smart-casual in this neon yellow suit. For casual trousers and dungarees of a similar baggy size then Lucy & Yak is your brand. They have them in every colour of the rainbow and at affordable prices. These yellow Alexa trousers mimic Hadid's style and with organic options and fair working conditions, are a much better alternative.
